Frequently Asked Questions about Ignighter

Q: What is Ignighter anyway?

Ignighter is the first and only group-to-group social networking site with an emphasis on real world meetings. We're an innovative service for you and your close friends to meet new people and have fun doing so! You may find romance or you may just have a fun night out; but either way you're out with your friends!

Q: Is using Ignighter dangerous?

Ignighter is about as safe as you can get using a website that emphasizes real world meetings. Traditional online dating sites can leave the user vulnerable because he/she is going out to meet a stranger alone. Of course we at Ignighter encourage our users to be smart, use good judgment, and stick to public places as much as possible. With Ignighter, however, you are with your group of friends and therefore meeting new people isn't only more fun, but it's also a lot safer!

Q: How much does Ignighter cost? Are there any hidden fees?

Ignighter is absolutely, completely, utterly free to use! No sign up fees, no fees for inviting friends or planning events, no monthly fees, and no hidden fees whatsoever!

Q: Can I be a member of more than one Ignighter group?

You sure can! In fact we encourage you to create/join as many as 10 different groups! How about a group for your college friends? High school friends? Work friends? Family members?

Q: Why can't groups have less than 2 people or more than 6?

The aim of Ignighter is to get users out from behind their computer and into the real world interacting with new people. Having groups larger than 6 makes it extra difficult for planning when more than 12 schedules need to be considered. In addition, it's much easier to search for other groups and create events when you don't have to sort through some groups having 2 people and others having 100.
Did you know that on Ignighter you can be a part of up to 10 groups?! So if you're having trouble fitting all your friends into one group, we suggest creating another! Did you make one for your college friends? Then how about one for your high school or work friends?

Q: Why do I need to wait until at least 1 friend has accepted my group invite before I can start planning events?

At Ignighter we try to emphasize etiquette to make the experience as positive as possible for everyone involved. Therefore we try to minimize the possibility of somebody planning an event with another group if there is a chance that either group won't be complete by the time the event actually rolls around. So get out there and get your friends to join your groups as quickly as possible!

Q: What is an ambassador?

The ambassador is the person who created the group. They act as the primary contact person when your group is communicating with other groups and they are responsible for posting information on the group's own page. Keep in mind that all members of the group are able to create an event and invite another group, but on the receiving side, the ambassador RSVPs on behalf of the rest of the group.
